So glad this week is finally over. They call it 'Project Week'..but its really more like rehearsal week for the upcoming New Directions Festival. SO, other than thesis presentation (which almost killed all of us level 3 students), there were rehearsals everyday as well..plus 2 performances on wed n fri..totally exhausted la. And the other sian thing is that i finally recovered for awhile last week after being sick soooo long..and now due to stress n lack of rest im having sorethroat again. Im also having sore eyes i think and a few pimples on my forehead. ARGH.
Visited my step-grandma at the hospital yesterday. 'Step'-grandma coz, my grandfather has 3 wives so this is my dad's stepmum. Both my parents are pretty close to her but we kids only see her once a yr during chi new yr. She has been wheelchair-bound since the last time i saw her but she was still rosy n healthy n always in high spirits. Seeing her today in the hospital bed really gave me quite a shock. She used to be pretty well-fed but now she looks so frail. The thick hospital blankets wrapped around her seemed heavier than her emaciated frame and her once plump face now looks so sunken in. I was never really close to her compared to my own grandparents..but suddenly seeing her in this state really affected me. I was controlling my tears the whole time in the hospital..She can't even eat solid food now and can hardly talk. Really doubt she would survive this stay. There was nothing i could do then but to pray for her. I didnt even know what to pray for. She's already 80+ and thus considered to have lived a ripe old age. But seeing all the tubes inserted into her, i know she must be suffering too. Should i pray for God to bless her with a quick recovery? Or should i pray that she will leave this world peacefully so her suffering may end sooner and she can be received into Heaven? Sigh..in e end, i just prayed that regardless of the final outcome, God will lessen her pain and suffering now. I used to have 2 grandpas and 5 grandmas..but now if this step-grandma passes away, i'll only have one grandma left...the one im closest too..and probably the person who dotes on me the most. I know everyone has to leave this world sooner or later..but im just so scared thinking about who may leave me next.. *sobz*
Oh man..im soooo tired now. Just came back from JB with my dearie. First time taking bus in JB today..haha..we were not even sure which bus to take or where to stop..but luckily we didnt get lost la. Was actually really tired the whole day, but it was fun and i really enjoyed myself. We spent the entire night n day together! Lol..think he must be getting sian of me soon.. Hee im looking forward to our next trip there. Probably next month la after i get my pay.
Piano lesson at 8.15am tmr then sch all the way til 6pm! That im certainly not looking forward to. Sigh.
