Sobsobz...its another rainy n thunder-stormy day and im HOME ALONE AGAIN! =(
Sigh..yesyes i know its a purrfect weather for sleeping and i should be glad im blessed enough to be able to sleep anytime i want to, and wake up as late as i wish..but all these is getting a lil too out of hand. I mean, im starting to feel like im enjoying life so much, im starting to lose it! Makes sense, no? To all my working friends out there who work ur ass off everyday, SORRY! dont mean to make u guys jealous or anyth..but seriously, too much free time can be a bad thing..esp when u have to spend it alone most of the time..err, then again its not that ive no friends to meet up with, im just lazy to ask pple out...so yah, see what slacking too much does to u? It makes u lazy...sigh..
Well well, school is gonna start in like 2 weeks? and i haven done a single thing i swore to do and accomplish before the next sem starts...heehee..whats new huh?its the same every single semester. I still have one last yr as a student before i step fully into the working world. All along i thought i wouldnt mind teaching music all my life..but now, im not sure.. Went to teach a private student this morning and the mum says she wanna stop lessons for awhile coz her daughter's school exams are coming..But from experience, i know that once a kid stops lessons for awhile, its very unlikely that he or she will want to continue anymore. Sigh..i know its not up to me to comment much and its the parent's decision that matters...but i just get so bloody irritated with parents who view music education as merely something-for-leisure-or-for-fun-and-only-if-the-kid-has-too-much-time-to-spare kinda hobby...grrr..hey, i took both my piano and violin grade 8 exams the very same year when i was taking my Olevels okay?! I mean, i understand that the parents do not want their kid's school results to be affected but each time a student quits due to such reasons, i'd feel so disappointed. Come on la, not as if im some psychotic teacher who forces her students to practise every single day right? If u wanna spend money to learn a music instrument, as least put more effort in it and make sure the money spent is not wasted right??? Well well, maybe i should try not to bother too much..just focus on students who really really wanna achieve in music..and for the rest? Learn or dun learn up to u la..as long as i know im teaching properly can le..Okay! Gonna get back to my book now..hee, its Anne Rice again after so long. This book im reading is the last of her Vampire Chronicles i think and i've completed all the previous books before this. A few yrs back, i was sooo into Anne Rice and her vampires that i fantasized bout being a bloodsucking vamp myself! No kidding..But i stopped reading for a long time after "Memnoch the Devil" coz i realised the theory bout God n satan in that book totally contradicted with my religion and what i grew up learning..and worse still, i was starting to believe the book's version. (think davinci code) It was quite a serious spiritual damage then i'd say, so i forced myself to stop reading that book and stay away from Anne Rice awhile til im ready to face her vampires once more! Hee k la, gonna snuggle in bed under my blankie and read til i fall asleep now. hee. Tata!
