1991-1993....lost.....
Just browsed thru friendster again..found some friends from my 1st pri sch..
Hong Wen Pri..that was the sch i was in from P1-P3...lots of beautiful memories and many close friends...i was never alone...had my own large clique of friends...we would occupy one big table at recess...always asking one another how much time left before recess ends...visits to the small bookshop where we would buy stickers occassionally and trade them...
I still have those stickers given to me by my best friend then..this girl by the name of Teo Lijuan...and then there was this guy i had a crush on at P3..Teo Howe Fatt...
Beautiful memories...but all lost now....
The 1st day of P4, i was in Hong Wen..excited coz im in the same class as Lijuan...but the very next day, my mum sent me to a totally different sch...Ngee Ann pri...i was not even informed beforehand..she hadn't even bought their uniform for me...so there i was...in a foreign place with not a single familiar face around me...in my own Hong Wen uniform...i stuck out like crazy...A speck of pathatic brown in a sea of drowning blues...
In the end, i didn't add any of those friends i found...from their photos, i found out that their friendship had carried through sec sch and beyond...no point getting back in contact coz there's no way i can join back my clique once more...don't think they would even remember me...i looked at those pictures and i felt sad that i've lost something that i would have treasured if i had never lost them...
That second day of sch in P4..it was so horrible...i took out my Hong Wen sch diary...then sang the Hong Wen sch song with tears gushing from my eyes...sobs amidst the singing....
Candy....that P3 candy...me...left behind in 1993....
